SmartPacks storage inventory app features

Point the app at a SmartPacks label to see what’s in that box. Scan an unused label and it becomes a new box, ready to fill.

Add several photos to each item, straight from the camera or from your gallery, so you recognize things at a glance.

Give each item a quantity and up to 10 keywords, like “extension cord” or “tax files”. Keywords are what search looks for.

Add a photo and SmartPacks suggests keywords for it. Choose how many it adds on its own, or turn it off. The free plan includes a daily allowance.

Type a keyword in the Item List to see every match, with the box and location it’s in. Each box has its own search too.

Group boxes by where they live: garage, attic, office or storage unit. Each location shows how many boxes and items it holds.

Colored labels show their color in your box list. Sort boxes by number, name, color or item count, and filter by location.

Select several boxes and move them to another location in one go. Single items move between boxes with a swipe.

Set a box to public and anyone signed in to the SmartPacks app who scans its label sees what’s inside, read-only. Private boxes stay yours.

Send your inventory to any email address as a PDF or CSV file: for your records, an insurer or a moving company.

Use SmartPacks on iPhone, iPad and Android. Sign in with Google, email or Apple (on iPhone and iPad), and your boxes stay in sync through the cloud.

Use SmartPacks in English, German, French, Italian or Spanish, and switch any time in Settings.

When a photo isn’t enough, add a short video of up to 30 seconds or record a voice note on any item.

Free accounts get a daily allowance of AI keyword suggestions. Pro lets you keep getting suggestions after it runs out, which helps on a big sorting day.

Search by meaning instead of exact words. Ask for “winter clothes” and find the sweater, the jacket and the scarf.

Keep one inventory with family, roommates or a team. Add people by email as Editors, who can make changes, or Viewers, who can only look.

Pick a date and time for a box and the app reminds you: a seasonal swap, a return deadline, the end of a storage rental. Edit or cancel them in Settings.
